My temporary workshop in my Japanese apartment. I got to try fancy metallic ink for the first time. I also learned that it doesn't come off your hands easily.
One of my favorite card designs of that year. It took a while, but I finally was able to refine my stamping technique to get a clean print.

in an attempt to get ahead of the yearly project, I enlisted my friends Zack and Andrew to help brainstorm and take the photo for the card in July. We filmed a video documenting the "creative process," and I added NFC stickers to all the cards to link recipients to the video.
My brilliant solution to avoid burying myself. We took a shot of this and I composited it over the beach picture. This way, the lighting matched, and there was actual sand around my neck.
I went with colorful envelopes for this first year of cards. I definitely want to try and get creative with the envelopes again in the future. I just have to make sure they'll be accepted by USPS.
It was absolutely freezing on that beach. It turns out that being on the shore in the winter means the wind is crazy. Just goes to show my personal dedication to the members of Ray's Card Club.
